East Boston, MA (June 28, 2014) – On Thursday, June 26th Mayor Marty Walsh honored East Boston Main Streets’ volunteers of the year at a spectacular Gala at the Strand Theatre.Manuel Macias, accompanied by his wife Margarita, was honored for his many decades of service to theEast Boston community. The Law Offices of Manuel Macias, LLC., located at 20 Meridian St., have been a corner stone for East Boston businesses and residents of all walks of life.“The Law Office of Manuel Macias has been an integral part of the East Boston community since the inception of East Boston Main Streets some two decades ago,” said Max Gruner, Executive Director of EBMS. “For the past twelve years the Law Office of Manuel Macias has been a consistent and generoussupporter of programming in East Boston, particularly the annual Countdown to Kindergarten Parade of which they are regular and generous supporters. The Law Office has also been a great support to local micro-businesses, frequently on a pro-bono basis.”Marygrace Gravallese, Art Director at Massport, was honored for her tremendous commitment to the small and micro business community in East Boston during her tenure as a member of the Board of Directors at EBMS.“Marygrace has been an invaluable member of the Board of Directors of East Boston Main Streets. Marygrace transformed the public face of EBMS through her brilliant and diligent design; her creativity is visible in all marketing materials EBMS publishes on behalf of the East Boston’s micro-business community. Marygrace’s efforts and innumerable hours developing and creating promotional materials on behalf of EBMS has allowed the organization to successfully brand its signature events such as the Taste of Eastie, now in its 19th year,” said Max Gruner.
